Hi, I’m Liz
I’m a Licensed therapist (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Sports Social Worker.
I help people accomplish their goals, reconnect with their sense of self, boost confidence, and improve mental fitness by meeting them where they are at in their mental health journeys.
Working with athletes, high performers and creatives to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and challenging life situations are my areas of specialty. Therapy should feel fulfilling and the last thing I want for my clients is for therapy to feel like a chore. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for working toward and achieving therapeutic goals, so I encourage you to feel all the feels, speak your mind, and be yourself in sessions.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process and I want any clients who work with me to feel that they are heard and supported. Throughout the therapy process, we will explore both the highs and lows, whether that be through identifying thought patterns, behavioral patterns, current and past experiences, or self-care and coping skills. I'm a firm believer that healing is not linear and acknowledging the good is equally important to living your best life. I aim to have a down-to-earth, strengths-based & integrative approach and will most definitely throw in a few sports and pop culture references, thinking outside of the box, and use humor when appropriate.
I received my Master’s in Social Work degree from NYU and have advanced training in, Sports Social Work interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Trauma Focused -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed practice, Functional Family therapy, and more.

HOW IT WORKS

1. SCHEDULE A PHONE CALL CONSULTATION
Reach out through the form above to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. I’ll reach out via email (or unless you specify another preferred method of contact) within 2 business days to find a date and time that works. This call will help me understand more about how I can help you in therapy, see if working together would be a good fit, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

2. first session
If all aligns on the consultation call and we are a good fit to work together, we’ll schedule our first session. Prior to the session you’ll receive some paperwork to complete. The session will be the start of our therapy relationship, where we’ll explore a lot about what makes you, you! This session is typically more structured than sessions that will follow since I’ll be asking questions that will help me gather information to better understand how to help.

3. WE DO THE WORK
In sessions to follow, I’ll continue to learn more about you and support you by helping you build your toolkit to heal and grow. We’ll talk about past experiences, present experiences, core values and beliefs, goals, wins, losses, and so many other topics. I’ll be an unbiased support in your life helping you to heal and reconnect with yourself as well as identifying patterns or triggers that may be unhelpful in your life. What you get out of therapy is what you put into it. It is ultimately up to you to continue to do the work outside of sessions.
